The Account Manager is responsible for the ongoing relationship of existingLincoln Allianceand SmartFutureSMclients. The Account Manager is the single point of contact for administrative service requests and day-to-day Plan Sponsor inquiries. The Account Manager is also responsible for addressing our client's administrative needs and coordinating acrossLincoln's specialized administrative areas to ensure Lincoln Financial Group delivers on all service commitments. The Account Manager works closely with an integrated team including the Account Executives, Retirement Consultants and external partners including Third Party Administrators, Agents, Brokers, Consultants and other distribution partners.
The position is available in Arlington Heights, IL or Fort Wayne, IN.
Job Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Demonstrates ultimate accountability for client relationship * Educates clients on administrative processes and procedures * Coordinate with all functions, particularly relationship management and operations, based on needs of the client/ plan(s) * Approves/ coordinates quarterly statement messages * Assist all functions in communication with clients * Oversee administration of plans * Oversee deconversion of plans * Oversee plan changes * Maintain excellent working relationship with clients * Act as a mentor to less experienced team members * Analyzes customer feedback to better meet emerging customer expectations * Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in order to service clients * Keep management aware of clients issues and needs in order to best service our customer * Proactively reach out to each client to better understand their needs

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE Required job knowledge and skills: * In-depth knowledge of retirement plans (403(b), 401(k), 457(b), 457(f), 401(a), 415(m), SERP, Church Plans, etc.) and legal requirements * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Strong ability to create, document or improve processes and procedures * Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks while being attentive to detail * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Excellent ability to project manage * Superior written and verbal communication skills * ASPPA RPF 1&2, or completion within nine months of hire
Qualifications or previous experience: * College degree or equivalent experience * Four or more years experience in the retirement industry * Understanding of plan provisions, documents and multiple system processes * Excellent time management skills * Ability to organize and lead others * Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint * ASPPA or IFEBP (such as CEBS) designations a plus
