ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Acts as liaison between Shared Service Center (SSC) and Clinical Operations to ensure timely submission and accuracy of data necessary to recognize State/Regional revenues.
Processes Roll Up of services (if required), reconciles units/charges against reports received from Clinical Operations for reasonableness.
Generates, distributes and reviews revenue/billing reports per Task Activity Breakdown (TAB) schedule.
Assists with training of the field staff responsible for generation of revenue information.
Ensures checks are deposited timely according to local procedures, creates RFPs as needed (ex. Client allowance), faxes/scans Remittance Advices to SSC, maintains Non-AR funds in state office for posting in Oracle and apply Oracle AR and non-AR cash, as appropriate.
Performs weekly/monthly reconciliation functions to ensure timely/accurate billing and cash applications by SSC
Performs weekly review and analysis of outstanding receivables to assist SSC in resolution
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with key resources including SSC, Program Managers/Supervisors as well as external payers.
Participates actively in routine AR calls.
Coordinates activities and shares responsibility for projects with other key AR staff during transition period.
Completes month end close duties, including AR system processes, reconciliations, schedules and journal entries.
Complies with all Sarbanes control activities.
Assists with quarterly and annual audits and cost reports as necessary and requested
Works with each accounting manager and SSC to achieve collection and DSO goals. Oversees monthly AR reporting requirements. Provides feedback to Business Manager and State Director regarding impact of program related activities on receivables.
Performs other duties as required

Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Five years experience in GL, AR related, preferably in a diversified health services organization
Healthcare billing a plus
Experience with ""hands-on"" small company business situations a plus
