Apache Training Systems Systems Engineer 1
Boeing Apache Training Systems is in need of a Systems Engineer for the Test Engineering Team. This individual should have experience in various aspects of the software development life-cycle including analysis and support. Other desired skills include Joint Application Development / Design session experience, Requirements Gathering and Documentation using DOORS, familiarity with computer networking across various platforms, experience with software testing (unit, sub-system, system, and user-acceptance), and an ability to analyze difficult problems and offer long term solutions. Experience with both software and hardware is preferred; hardware knowledge and experience with multiple platforms and technician/electrical work are a plus. Experience with DOORS, the MS Office Suite, and ClearQuest / ClearCase are preferred.
This position will be responsible for requirements gathering for the test team on the Apache AH64D Operational Trainer. This includes entering requirements in DOORS and performing the requirements traceability to the software requirements and the performance specification. This individual will also be responsible for gathering documentation to send to customers, getting it peer reviewed and through the process for delivery, attending internal and external customer meetings, logging test events and will eventually learn to run the Trainer (operate the Instructor / Operator Station) for Pilot Testing.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
A degree in Management of Information Systems or in Information Systems is acceptable. Degrees in mathematics or chemistry are generally not applicable to this position.
