Summary
The purpose of the Cost Accounting Associate position is to ensure timely and accurate tracking and reporting of information related to the health ministries’ cost accounting in accordance with published standards and controls. Answers requests and inquiries from Ascension Health Associates and financial institutions, and resolve issues accordingly.
Requirements:
Maintain the cost accounting data in financial accounting information systems, including but not limited to reviewing and performing allocations to the Charge Description Master level, validating and testing costing results and when necessary, performing reclassification of costs within the application
Provide Level 2 customer service support for health ministries and their associates resolving any issues or errors; Successfully handle most non-routine issues, escalate issues that cannot be resolved to management
Plan and organize work so the Service Level Agreement objectives are realized; Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of Asset Management / Project Costing related processes within area of influence; Ensures all work is performed in accordance with targets
Understand and apply Cost Accounting processes, policies, procedures and internal control standards
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Level Degree required
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
Experience in shared services/internal service delivery role preferred
Experience working with ERP Asset Management and/or Project Costing module(s)
Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum of one year of related cost accounting experience required
