Position Summary:
The Engineering Project Manager, reporting to the Group Director of Operations and Engineering, will be responsible for the development, engineering, implementation, and monitoring of all aspects of capital projects of up to $7mm in scope within the U.S. and Canada.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establishes investment needs through analyzing production processes, facility needs, and available budgets.
Develops adequate documentation to justify proposed investments according to Sensient procedures, including defining project scope, preparing project budget, and establishing project schedules.
Executes projects according to the developed plans. Coordinates development, procurement and installations. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership exploring opportunities to add value, and coordination with internal and external staff.
Manages capital project financial records, including invoicing and budgets.
Monitors project performance after implementation and supports projects owners.
Develops users by developing and conducting training sessions, providing references and support.

Job Requirements:
Qualified Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience, preferably within the food industry. A Masters Degree is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of plant controls and instrumentation (integration) is preferred.
Experience managing capital projects of at least $5mm is required.
Ability to communicate with peers, management, plant employee and contractors is vital.
This position will be based out of our Indianapolis, IN location, but may require travel within US and Canada, so flexibility and availability is essential.
