Essential Functions: * To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in policies and procedures. * To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-out policies and procedures. * To be familiar with guest scenarios * To be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk. * To be familiar with all hotel facilities. * To be familiar with general organization set-up. * To be familiar with the inter-relationship between the different departments. * Train new associates. * Must be familiar with shift checklist and be able to run the desk in absence of the assistant manager. * To understand and follow all guest recovery guidelines (Alerts, MMS, Prompt Response, Log Book etc..) * Familiar with all procedures with-in Front Desk, PBX, and Guest Services. * Knowledge of Shuttle and Airport transportation offered by the hotel to be able to properly and effectively direct guests. * Ensure that the public areas (lobby) are maintained, clean, and tidy by partnering with Housekeeping Department. All issues are to be reported to PBX. * Drive hotel owned vehicles as required and log all trips and maintenance in vehicle logs * Maintain cleanliness of hotel owned vehicles * Assist with storage of guest luggage in the bell closet or alternate storage location * Assisting with luggage when a guest moves rooms and ensuring the new room is satisfactory * Properly log all trips originating from the Bell Stand. * Transport luggage to/from guest room which regularly includes lifting and/or carrying items up to 50 lbs. * Knowledge of daily meetings and events to properly be able to direct guests * Ensure the delivery of parcels, mail, faxes, special deliveries, etc. to guest rooms. * Assist in arranging for restaurant reservations and limousines as required by our guests. * Direct phone calls to appropriate personnel. * Ensure proper ordering and newspaper * Manage all communication during an emergency situation. * Record, dispatch, and complete entries into MMS * Omni Prompt Response Help Line. * Record and deliver wake-up calls. * Assist guests with Room Service orders, up selling where appropriate. * Dispense and track communication radios. * Communicate via two way radio and telephone with all departments.
