Main job responsibilities include J2EE Systems Administration, Web Infrastructure design, implementation and support, Unix Systems Administration, and Systems Administration of web based systems.
Responsible for all activities related to web infrastructure systems architecture design, installation, administration and support of the J2EE Websphere, Weblogic, JBOSS, .Net and IIS platforms
Under minimal supervision the candidate will install, configure, and support all web infrastructure (hardware and software) while maintaining enterprise deployment and security standards. The candidate will also be accountable for the integrity of all web based infrastructure, all activities related to production systems design, management and support. Interact with other infrastructure, application development, and business partners. Will rely on various tools to proactively monitor all web infrastructure and applications to ensure the highest level of system uptime is maintained. Participate in disaster recovery planning exercises and 24x7 on-call support rotation. This position interfaces with numerous internal teams as well as external third parties. The Internet Systems Administrator / Systems Architect III will help build and maintain relationships across multiple customer and operational initiatives. Job Requirements Maintenance and Support: Internet Systems Administrator / Systems Architect III will work in a distributed team environment and be an effective part of the team while following all development processes, procedures, standards and guidelines. Responsible for day-to-day support, maintenance and security of critical web infrastructure. This includes code promotions, problem determination and resolution, capacity planning, infrastructure deployment, testing, maintenance, system automation and on-call support.
Projects: Analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions that fit within the enterprise standards. This includes infrastructure capacity planning, build out and deployment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with little management oversight. Should have excellent written and oral communications skills. Will work nights and weekends as needed to meet service objectives, systems availability requirements and project deadlines. Ability to maintain composure while working under pressure during major network and systems emergencies is vital. Ability to quickly grasp, understand and deploy new technologies is critical.
CORE COMPETENCIES: Required: - 5+ years of production support experience in J2EE System Administration: Oracle Fusion Middleware - Expert level knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Server, Oracle Weblogic Portal, Universal Content Management (UCM), Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Oracle Identity Management (OIM), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) - 7+ years Unix/Linux System Administration experience in at least two of the following: Sun/Solaris, IBM/AIX, HP/UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - 7+ years of production web infrastructure support - 5+ years general client/server system administration (with non-web based systems) or network system administration experience - Extensive System/application troubleshooting experience on J2EE based systems - Expert UNIX systems/automation programming skills using UNIX Shell, Perl and/or C - Willing to carry and respond to cell phone/pager calls in a 24X7 support role with call escalation and after hours support rotation responsibilities - Willingness and ability to handle on-site core hours expected with this position (M-F 8 am - 6 pm during on-call week, 8 am - 5 pm on the other weeks of the month) - Deployment automation using JACL/JYTHON/WLST - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC and other regulatory requirements and guidelines related to the financial services and insurance industries
Desired, but not required: - Fusion Middleware 11G infrastructure architecture, build and support experience - Expertise in Oracle WebCenter 11G including Portal Design and best practices - Expertise in Oracle Weblogic 11g, Oracle SOA Suite11g, Oracle Identity Management 11g - Enterprise Systems/Solutions Architecture design and implementation experience - Experience finding and correcting the source of memory leaks within J2EE applications - General J2EE (or .NET) Programming experience - Experience with F5 Big IP systems administration - Experience operating within a team environment - Extensive customer or business unit relationship management experience, strong customer focus - Experience with performance tuning J2EE applications - Experience writing deployment and installation scripts for enterprise applications - Experience with best practices in J2EE security, logging, clustering, high availability - Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting performance and availability of Web Services (XML, SOAP, WSDL) - General monitoring tool experience - Experience developing Servlets, JSPs, and/or EJBs - Network packet analysis experience. - Wily Introscope experience - LDAP Administration experience - Load testing tool experience - JMS experience EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Must have applicable Bachelors degree (Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Math) or have equivalent experience in comparable position(s) and have 5+ years of experience with Internet systems administration, and 5+ years experience with Unix systems administration.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
