Mgr-Vertical Data Sales
• Five plus years technical sales experience into Fortune 1000 accounts.
• Sales experience into CIO organization.
• RFP experience for large computer and/or telecommunication projects.
• Financial acumen to generate comprehensive ROI and TCO models.
• Bachelors Degree in Business/Marketing/Electrical Engineering/Information Systems or Telecommunications or equivalent experience. MBA or MS preferred.
• Vertical Expertise within the Manufacturing vertical industry is a plus.
• Strong technical aptitude including the ability to communicate complex solutions effectively.
• Approximately 50% travel will be required
• Position will be located at a Verizon Wireless location anywhere in the MWAThe ideal candidate will posses a high level of integrity, be a self starter and work with initiative on a daily basis. This position is quota bearing and responsible for assisting the Global Enterprise Managers in selling strategic wireless data and information services within an assigned vertical industry: Manufacturing vertical. Customers will be Fortune 1000 national and global accounts, primarily based in the MWA. The duties and responsibilities include experience within three segments:
Vertical Industry Expertise:
• Provide vertical industry subject matter expertise for the Manufacturing vertical.
• Represent Verizon Wireless within assigned vertical industry associations and trade shows.
• In depth understanding of assigned vertical industry from a business, information system, telecommunications and Information technology perspective.
• Ability to understand and speak vertical industry vernacular in order to present wireless data solutions and services to a targeted workforce audience.
• Solid working relationship with internal Verizon Wireless, Verizon Business and Vodafone sales and management teams.
• Experience with industry specific software developers, OEM's and system integrators.
Business Sales Expertise:
• Proven successful sales quota attainment record.
• Develop and maintain a sales funnel that includes detailed business opportunities that depict hardware, software and services opportunities on a daily basis.
• Professional presentation skills with the ability to speak in front of large internal and external audiences.
• Experience interacting with C-Level leadership (internal and external).
• Develop detailed business cases that influence and direct Verizon Wireless Product Marketing for vertical solutions.
• Search out Joint Marketing Partners that solve complex wireless data opportunities via software and hardware solutions.
• Assist Global Enterprise Manager to conduct needs analysis and develop data sales strategy for named accounts.
• Support on-site customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations and trials.
• Develop comprehensive RFP responses and ROI models in conjunction with Global Enterprise Manager and data partners.
• Maintain an annual expense budget within Verizon Wireless guidelines and policy.
Technical Expertise:
• The ability to architect complex wireless data solutions including software, electronic hardware configuration, machine to machine communications and device management.
• Understanding of telecommunication networks and TCP/IP networking protocols.
• The ability to articulate wireless air link protocols and transmission of data over wireless networks including: Personal Area Networks, Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.
• Solid understanding of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) techniques.
