The Lincoln Retirement Plan Services Quality Assurance Team provides overall testing and quality assurance services for the Defined Contributions (DC) organization. DC technology initiatives are determined by the IT leadership and the Defined Contribution business partner and are deployed by the Defined Contribution Application Development Centers located inArlington Heights,IL,Ft. Wayne,INandPhiladelphia,PA. The Quality Assurance Team is responsible for developing and executing testing and quality assurance plans that ensure high quality software releases to the business partner and end-user customers. This includes all stages of test management, test plan development, defect resolution, user acceptance testing coordination, regression testing, and production validation. This position directly contributes to the successful implementation of technology initiatives. The person in this position will work directly with Quality Assurance Management, Application Development and Project Management in the planning and executing of strategic and tactical software releases and projects. This includes developing test plans, test cases and test scripts, preparing test data, executing functional tests, defect identification and resolution, and status and progress reporting. Job Requirements Responsibilities: * Analyze business requirements to identify testable conditions. * Develop functional test plans based on business and functional requirements. * Build test scripts with detailed test conditions and directional/navigational test steps. * Support the creation and maintenance of test data in the test environment. * Conduct and participate in functional test plan inspections and obtain key stakeholder signoff. * Execute and validate the functional test plan to ensure the business requirements, functional and navigational requirements are met. * Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure all system and application modifications meet the end user business requirements. * Identify, document, communicate, support and follow through to resolution of defects, issues and risks. * Partner with the developers in validation and resolution of problems in new and existing applications. * Maintain, execute and validate the regression test set. * Effectively communicate test results, testing progress along with defect, issue and risk status to Quality Assurance Management, Project Management and key project stakeholders. * Support and align with the business, corporate, department and team strategy and direction. * Adhere to company, department and team processes, standards, practices and tools to deliver quality on all initiatives. * Identify, recommend and support the implementation of process improvements. * Build and maintain strong long-term internal and external working relationships to ensure a collaborative approach. * Coordinate and interact with business clients, application development, other Quality Assurance team members, Quality Assurance Management, Project Management, UAT Business Analysts, and environment support. * Achieve personal performance objectives and support the business, corporate, department and team reach their performance objectives. * Mentorand train team members and colleagues.
Job Requirements * 4 year college degree required * Software development quality assurance principles and best practices(Intermediate to advanced level). * System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) knowledge and experience(Intermediate to advanced level). * Various software testing methodologies knowledge and experience (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, etc.)(Intermediate to advanced level). * Business requirements analysis and breakdown into testable conditions(Intermediate to advanced level). * Test scope, test strategy and test approach planning at the project level(Intermediate to advanced level). * Test case preparation and design(Intermediate to advanced level). * Test execution via manual and automated methods(Intermediate to advanced level). * QualityCenterknowledge and experience(a must). * Office product proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook)(a must). * Strong written and verbal communication skills(a must). * Strong analytical and problem solving skills(a must). * Manage multiple project/task assignments simultaneously(a must). * Goal oriented (Takes ownership and commitment of assignments and tasks to completion)(a must). * Self-starter/motivated individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude(a must). * Team player with a cooperative effort to achieve a common goal(a must). * Actively listens and asks proactive questions to better understand and determine testing needs(a must). * AS400 and Mainframe testing knowledge and experience(a plus). * Various web browser testing knowledge and experience(a plus). * Database testing knowledge and experience(a plus). * Strong financial industry knowledge(a plus). * Customer focused and demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting client requirements(a plus). * Maintains effectiveness in a dynamic and varying environment(a plus). * Quick Test Professional (QTP)knowledge and experience(a plus). * LoadRunnerknowledge and experience(a plus). * Computer Science college degree(Preferred).
