Team Sales Representative (Indianapolis, IN) (Sports Marketing/Events/Promotions)
Purpose:
Drive footwear, apparel and accessory sales to dealers and/or schools in all major sports within a given territory. The end result is not only significant sales volume, but also excellent brand exposure on athletes, coaches, athletic directors and spectators.
Key Accountabilities:
Build a solid distribution base within the territory by finding dealers/institutions that will sell adidas products based on service and product, not price.
Help dealers move at-once inventory in addition to selling in footwear, apparel and accessories three times per year.
Build relationships with institutions, athletes, coaches and athletic directors in the territory.
Reach annual sales goals and manage promotional and T&E budgets.
Communicate Team status to our company's retail reps
Drive relationships with high school programs to outfit all sport agreements with our company.
Coordinate the licensed side of the notable high school programs to fully activate the Brand at team.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
Ability to calculate and understand discounts, proportions, percentages and ratios.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
Must have good phone skills.
Technical proficiency with MS applications (Excel & Word)
The ability to travel frequently via car and occasionally via air
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Merchandising and forecasting experience is preferred.
